I’m having trouble finding anything because the terminology is hard to pin down. I have “dumb” lights that have 3 built in “scenes” that I can cycle through by flicking the lights off and on again. Philips makes bulbs that do this under the “SceneSwitch” name, but mind are recesses ceiling lights from another brand. My scenes are bright, nightlight, and a combination of bright and nightlight.
I’ve replaced the switches with smart dimmers connected via localtuya. I can now switch and dim the lights in Home Assistant, but changing the scenes still requires me to turn the lights off and on.
Before I dive in and try to make up some automations, I was wondering if anyone had heard of any existing tricks to add some functionality to these lights, or if there is an official name for these sort of lights.
