I have a Zigbee / HA automation that I can manually turn on and off. The entity is “light.silicon_labs_ezsp_backyard_soffit_lights_automation”. When I set this up in Node Red to automatically come on at Dusk and off at 23:45 it doesn’t work. I’m using Big Timer / Switch Node and two Service Nodes (On & Off). I’ve changed the “domain” in each of the Switch Nodes to be “light” instead of "switch. I hope all this makes sense!
Question: How can I automatically turn on “light.silicon_labs_ezsp_backyard_soffit_lights_automation” at dusk and off at 23:45? Can I set up a timer withing Zigbee / HA to do this?
Thanks in advance for any help that can be provided.
Do you want to do your automation in node red. Or in HA native automations.
If you want Node red please post your code in a pre-formatted text block. (you’re using the right node but we can only guess as to why it’s jot working unless we see what you’re doing)
Thanks for the response. I prefer to use Node Red. How do I post the code in a pre formatted text block? I’m not familiar enough with Node Red to get pass that information along. The best I can do right now are screen shots. Please see the screen shots. Thanks.
Hello
This is a quick follow up. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can use Node-Red to activate the backyard soffit light automation? Thanks.
