When creating a new automation or script via the UI and you want to include a script as an action the UI will only list the script id & not a more friendly alias. Automations being picked the same way will show the alias so it would be great to get consistency with scripts this way.

This is possible now at least in 0.115 dev. I think it’s part of 0.114 release too but can’t check right now. When you add a new script you have the option of setting the entity ID from the UI.

But already existing scripts don’t show the entity id field! Or am i missing something?
Yes that’s true too. I can see the new feature in .114 but will have to do a lot of work to change the id of the existing scripts. Good to know though that future scripts will be easier to find by default.
