Hi All,
I have a basic install of Home Assistant on RPi3.
I have 6 temperature sensors.
Database is about 600MB yet I am almost out of memory using a 16GB SD card adn now cant do core updates.
I have tried to find backups etc but I cant find any large files taking up the space.
Any ideas?

You are almost out of storage, memory is a different thing.
The recommended minimum SD card size is 32GB. See: https://www.home-assistant.io/installation/raspberrypi#suggested-hardware
They are cheap. Buy a bigger one.
e.g. SanDisk High Endurance 256GB UHS-I Class 10 U3 V30 4K UHD microSD Card | External Storage Drives

Can you please point me t the instructions to upgrade to a larger card.

get rid of the sd card and get a SSD and boot run from that , pi3 will do it as i ran one for some time
