There’s been quite a lot of discussion on the forum regarding failing SD cards and the implications of this on a HA install.
There are quite a number of counterfeit SD cards on open sale from supposedly reputable supply lines, particularly the larger capacity SD cards at unbelievable prices. A tempting offer for some and too good to be true for others.
Having experienced a number of early failing SD cards I came across this utility which I found to be very useful and do recommend its use if you’ve suffered the same fate.
I’ve installed this utility on Ubuntu and with a simple Make/Make Install you should be up and running in no time. You will see from the release notes all the alternative platforms it can be installed on but I’ve only installed it on Ubuntu. This utility may have already been discussed here but I do recommend it’s use as a “must have” in anyone’s hardware fault finding toolbox. It’s called F3 for reasons you can see yourself https://fight-flash-fraud.readthedocs.io/en/latest/usage.html
