Have just discovered Home Assistant, so am new to this.
It is set up up on Raspberry Pi and has worked fine.
Separately my collection of smart bulbs (hue, Innr & Ikea - all on a Hue bridge) had grown to the point that I was getting “unreachable” errors in the Hue app.
So I bought an extra Bridge.
I have moved some bulbs across and they work fine in the Hue app (switching between bridges), even Alexa has found them.
However HA has issues with Bridge 2
2020-10-20 20:47:13 ERROR (MainThread) [homeassistant.components.hue] Error connecting to the Hue bridge at 192.168.0.89
This error is thrown up time and again in the logs
I have added the integration without problem, but on dashboards the bulbs show up as unavailable
See the difference between original and new bridge
All of my setup is configured via the UI
If you need any more details to work out what is wrong - please let me know
Hi,
With two Hue Birdges i had problems when bulbs or light are connected to both bridge. I delete light from the first bridges and separate all lights. Then it works for me but sometime light disconnect and reconnect randomly.
I am slowly moving the bulbs from the original “full” bridge to a upstairs/downstairs setup.
This has cured the bulb unreachable problem in the Hue app - but has introduced the new problem in Home Assistant that bulbs on the new bridge are unavailable.
