Section dashboard narrow buttons

In this blog post about the new sections dashboard you can see some buttons that take up only one grid unit:

But when I add a button card to my dashboard, it takes up two grid units:

How were those narrow buttons achieved?

Wondering what theme that is. Looks so much nicer than the default UI we ended up getting
