Sections: Maximum width column setting not being respected?

Hi HA community,

The new sections feature is great, but either I’m not using it correctly or it’s really buggy. Can someone help figure out this issue with columns?

Here’s the issue:
When creating a section, it’s setup as 2 sections wide on the page level:

In the sections config, it’s confirmed as 2 column width too:

HOWEVER, on the item-level it comes out to 8 columns wide.

Huh? Where does 8 columns come from? I first noticed this when I was trying to create a 3 column layout, but I see it happens for all my newly-created sections.

Any feedback would be appreciated.
