I am considering a keyfob system with a key and can transmit presence so I know who is home.
I have tried some BLE-based solutions, but I have found that they are easy to spoof.
Shelly Blue just, you can set the encryption, and then disable it on the device and it still works – kudos.
So I am looking for a solution possibly with
Alternatively there is enocean, which has the Eltako/PioTrek, which in fact I already have running on an old homematic, but I would like to find a configuration that is simpler to manage.
So please let me know:
- BLE in a secure way, is that possible?
- Or z-wave? or other
- eg the fibaro keyfob (it’s a bit expensive) and I don’t understand if it sends presence without mashing the keys (I couldn’t find anything)
any suggestions?
