Putting this here for anyone still looking for HKSV from Home Assistant: I’ve released an experimental, open-source add-on for an H.265/HEVC RTSP camera. It provides Apple Home live viewing and HKSV recording through your Apple home hub, with no H.264 video conversion. It’s a separate add-on, and currently handles one camera. My setup uses a Pi 4 with iOS/tvOS 27.
