As someone worried about security when it comes to devices exposed to internet, I have found that Home Assistant doesn’t have logs of connections to HA…
I can’t know if my HA is getting attacked because of the lack of this basic feature that every web server have (I’ve tried to look at logs files through the terminal, but found nothing).
I’m sure it’s possible to add an integration to get those logs and read them (cause it runs Alpine Linux on HA OS for raspi) so I can know which IP is trying to connect and with which user, also knowing if the login was successful or not.
That could also lead to control flood of login with fail2ban or something similar especially for web login, to make sure that no one can abuse the login HA system on internet and the local network.
If a solution exist, I would be more then happy to know how to do that
