Hello everyone, I’ve been trying to fix this on my own, but I just can’t find the answer.
A bit of background: until last week, I was using HOOBS installed on a Raspberry Pi4 to integrate Sensibo, Nest, and Dyson devices into my HomeKit home. Everything was working fine, but I’ve been looking and reading into HA more and more, and last week, Hoobs launched a big update that basically broke my setup, and I thought, “Well, this is a good time to move away from HOOBS into HA.”
I managed to install HA on another RBPI and booted up, generated my Sensibo API kit, and integrated Sensibo into HA, then installed the HomeKit bridge and configured just my climate devices to show in HomeKit, and there you go, they showed up no problem.
Here is where I need help:
The Sensibo devices showing up in HomeKit are basically two devices: a thermostat and a fan, and because of that, when I touch the tile, it does not turn on or off the device; it opens the sub menu for me to set either heat or cold or dry or fan, etc. This behavior is different than when you integrate Sensibo via Hoobs because I believe the device is recognized as an AC, not as a thermostat. Is there a way to have HA recognize the Sensibo as an AC and not as a thermostat? Basically, one device instead of 2?
My second problem is that the AC I’m controlling does not have a heat option, and I don’t want to be able to set it in either dry or fan mode; I just need to turn it on into cool and off, and that’s it. Is it possible?
Appreciate any help or guidance given. Thanks !
