Sensibo Sky has limited controls in HomeKit

Hi there,

I am hoping that I am misunderstanding something due to being new to HA, but I seem to have a problem with the Sensibo Sky integration and how it is controlled within in HomeKit.

The three main issues are…

  1. There doesn’t seem to be an option to select DRY mode.
  2. There are only 3 fan speeds controlled by a vertical switch. There should be 5 which can be controlled by a horizontal selector when you swipe down on the device.
  3. There doesn’t seem to be any way to set the fan speed when creating an automation. Just simply to turn the aircon on or off and set the temp.

I used HOOBs in the past to expose Sensibo to Homekit and all three of those issues weren’t present when using that. Is this just a limitation of the way HA exposes Sensibo to Homekit, or are their settings that I should (but seemingly cannot find to) change?

Many thanks.

Hello, same here.

I have 4 sensibo sky with Hoobs with a raspberry pi 4 running homekit perfectly and 1 Sensibo air, and the first option has more options than their certified homekit.

For me its worthless buying the 4 sensibo Air because of the speed limitation.

Hope sensibo can see this, and hire the person behind the homebridge sensibo plugin that is much better than theirs. (Author nitaybz)

So, well over 1 year late I have tried the Sensibo plugin for HA again and the exact same issues as the above remain.

  • There is no Dry function in Apple Home App
  • You can only apply 3 different fan speeds.

I can’t understand why this is the case when the HOOBs version has had that functionailty for years.

Is there any way to raise this with the Sensibo HA devs? Thanks
