Hello,
I´m have issues with the newer model of Philips Hue motion sensor 9290030675.
I have several of them, all bit over one year old, and one by one they seem to loose sensitivity, not reacting to motion at all when set to medium sensitivity, have to change to high sensitivity to get a detection!
Anyone else noticing this or have a idea of whats causing this?
Best regards, Stefan
How are you connecting them to HA?
With zigbee2mqtt.
Almost sure not an issue with zigbee2mqtt, as there is no detection led blink on Hue at all, when low-medium settings.
I have the older ones 9290012607 connected in the same way and I don’t have the same issue, sorry.
Hi,
Same problem for me on the 9290030675 model (not on older one 9290012607)…
I’ve just made a Philips support to ask a replacement.
Do you have any feedback on your side?
Hi there,
Sorry to hear that! Did Philips get back with any info?
I have not heard anything, just running mine at high sensitivity for now.
I am currently troubleshooting the same issue on a similar 9290030674 (the outdoor model). No idea why it started - battery reports at 100%, but I find this hard to believe seeing as how it’s been in operation for about a year. Maybe the battery is getting low?
Same problem here when turn the sensitivity to low the sensor stop detecting.
Sensor was connected by the Hue bridge now connected by Skyconnect with same result.
I have also a hue motion outdoor sensor SML004. When set to “low”, it is not detecting anything. On Reddid someone says this:
It’s not the sensitivity of the motion sensor you are adjusting. It’s the sensitivity of the light sensor to detect ambient light. It’s a battery saving feature. If there is enough ambient light, it will switch off the motion sensor.
I will check it this after sunset.
