Sensor connection

As mentioned in quite a few other posts…im new to all of this and it is a bit of an information overload…a few general questions…

  1. Ive got a conbee II installed and running - i also ordered a SonOff Zigbee 3 just arrived - can i use that at the same time.?
  2. Leading on from my machine is an i5 optiplex USFF running ProxMox ive got a wireless card to fit…can that be used for anything…im kind of a firm believer in kitting stuff out so no matter what im covered!
  3. Going back to the ConBeeII - and the home assistant in general…is there any celing height to what can be connected…my old system Aurora i had to have 3 hubs with about 90 odd devices running across them for reasons of range (got a 4 storey house) and capacity - approx 20 - 30 on each…will the one home assistant be able to handle it all?

Cheers to anyone that has a stab at it.

Regards

Just my thoughts on this…

Brilliant - thats good to know…(good to know the one machine can handle the lot!) i got the sonoff just in case - ive found that when using stuff like this you have to kinda go with what works for you…good as a spare…i did forget to say that ive got a bluetooth 5.1 dongle in there as well…(going back to the kitting it out bit!)

The Conbee is on the end of a cable in the most central point of the house but right there is a nice big stainless steel fridge freezer - the deconz support guy said it shouldnt be too much of an issue (see what happens) mines a really old house with solid brick walls so ill just have to start connecting stuff up and see how it goes!

Thanks for the reply.!

Just to add most of my stuff is mains orientated…sockets and adapters makes up for most of it with about 15 or so light switches…ill be making a start tonight - i fully expect to be posting tomorrow to try and make head and tail of it all…just a handful of devices in there at the moment is quite confusing!
