Hello, I have HA setup with InfluxDB and I use Grafana to graph the sensor data over time. I have noticed that if the sensor entity value is not changing, HA will not write a new record in InfluxDB. I have validated this with a moisture BLE sensor that stays at a certain moisture value over long periods of time.
In the below screen shot. The sensor goes to 6% and there is no data after 8:07AM local time, since the sensor stays at 6% for a many hours. Seems HA is conserving sending data to InfluxDB as the value hasn’t changed.
