Sensor duplicated after updating ESPHOME

I recently updated my ESPHome and Hassio. A frustrating thing keeps happening. It duplicates some sensors for some reason and changes it’s name. What is the best fix for this to get back to the original naming convention???

Before update Sensor Name:
sensor.aquarium_temp1

After update Sensor Name:
sensor.aquarium_temp1_2

This drives me crazy. Why is this happening first of all? The first sensor is obviously no longer working and I have to update my entire lovelace to get things to match again. So what is the best thing to do here?/??

I don’t quite know why it happens, but in the past the remedy has been to delete both of them in Devices, then re-add it.
