Sensor/Entity/Action icons don't show in iOS9 iPad

Searched for a similar issue but did not find it.

You can see below that the tab icons at the title bar are displayed just fine, but if you look at the cards all the TV controls are missing.

Also you can see the scene icons and the pause/back/forward icons missing as well.

This is an old iPad with iOS 9 I wanted to use as a dashboard in my bedroom.

I tried changing the javascript_version in ui section of configuration.yaml

Any help appreciated. If that doesn’t really work because of iOS 9 and there’s nothing I can do about it then I would appreciate suggestions on a alternate UI to setup just for the iPad so I can use it as a dashboard in kiosk mode.
