Sensor readings not properly decoded? (was: "lumi.weather" showing unknown for humidity and temperature

Hi there.

I started using HA a couple of days ago.

I’m using HA Core 2024.12.5, Supervisor 2024.12.0, Frontend 20241127.8, running under Ubuntu Server 24.04.1 LTS in a “Home Assistant Supervised” setup on an old Dell Latitude D630 laptop with a Intel Core2 Duo CPU T7250 @ 2.00GHz and 3 GB of RAM. As a Zigbee gateway I’m using an SMlight SLZB-06M connected via ethernet.

I noticed that a have a strange problem with my lumi.weather (model no. seems to be Aqara WSDCGQ11LM, it’s hard to read as I scratched the bottom cover), showing unknown for humidity and temperature.

“Pressure” is continuously reported (as well as LQI and RSSI) in 5 min intervals (it seems), though, so I believe Zigbee connectivity should be generally established.

The sensor using the zhaquirks.xiaomi.aqara.weather.Weather2 quirk.

Is there any low-level way of understanding why these two sensor values are not properly “decoded?” How can I debug this problem?

Thanks a lot in advance for your help.
