Hello everyone,
As part of the roof and loft renovation , I would like to install Paulmann LED spots in my loft flat (I simply like spots better). Actually, I wanted to install them “without Smart” - however, a Sonoff R2 (with Tassmota, if necessary), for example, is not rocket science and relatively cheap.
For the heating control in connection with the status of the window (‘open’/‘closed’), I wanted to install/configure HomeAssistant on my Raspberry 4 .
Now the question - are there better solutions like Sonoff R2/mini (with Tasmota firmware) in the meantime? Shellies are the same in green? My experience with Sonoff is over two years ago, but I can still flash or solder ESP32😊
Requirement:
- offline (“online access” is via OpenVPN to the PfSense with certificates only with “registered” devices").
- Integration with HomeAssistant possible
- not insanely expensive, as “smart” is not necessary but nice to have
- I want to be able to continue using the physical switches (switch replacement would also be OK, but with physical buttons and no WLAN button).
- If WLAN does not work (well, the Unifiy APs are very stable), I want to be able to continue to switch physically.
So I need:
Status Sensor for Window, termostat (with Wifi, Zigbee could be a problem over three floors and Sonoff/Shellie for the lights (switch)
Any recommendations for that actors and sensors? =) Thank you!
