I have been having an odd issue where sensors will occasionally get stuck on a specific value and show a flatline response until I power cycle the board.
What is odd is this is on an Adafruit board with a Sensirion SCD41 CO2 sensor, but I’ve also had it occur on a board from a different supplier with a Sensirion SDP816 pressure sensor
Has anyone else seen this issue?
FWIW - The above was on v6.5 ( I just upgrade to v7.0), but it has been happening the last several months.
Check the serial logs from the device.
I am having the same exact issue. My SCD40 sensor gets stuck. Restaring esp32 via software is not a solution. I need to power off and on the esp32 device and then it resume working.
I have 2 more of these sensors connected to different esp32 devices and never had issues with the others.
So I would not expect to be an ESPHome issue. I suspect it is a sensor issue but cannot confirm anything. I don’t even know how I can investigate. Maybe worth swapping the sensor with my other bedroom device and seeing if it gets stuck again in my bedroom esp32 or if it gets stuck with old esp32 in living room with new scd40 sensor from bedroom.
That should tell a lot
