As an example, I would like to add the Nodemcu v3 device I use in the aquarium with esphome. I need to add a new device with the system you’re talking about. I don’t want to add an Exra device.

You could just flash the device with this code. I believe esphome uses similar code, but this is a direct integration. I will say I think esphome is great and I use it for several devices.
