Set number of decimals for widget

option to set the maximum number of decimals for a widget. or that the widget takes over the setting of the number of decimals of the entities.

What’s a widget?

If you are talking about numbers and Home Assistant entities, you can set the decimal from the UI on most numbers.

Decimal places in card configuration

To set the number of decimal places, the value_template can be used. However, this is quite cumbersome, whilst this would be very convenient to configure this within the UI. As an example, the value formatting in Excel can be used. This allows to easily select various formats depending on the field type (number, date, time, …) still allowing a high level of customization.

  Of course I can use a template to create an extra entity with fewer decimals, but it would be nice if the entity settings would also work on the widget.
