Set Somfy RTS blind in pairing mode from RFLink

Hi,

I’ve accidentally crushed my physical RTS remote. This remote was the main remote of my blind. When doing a long press on the button on the back, the blind was set to a pairing mode, waiting for a new remote (or the RFLink) to be paired.

I already have a working entry for this bling in my RFLink, UP;DOWN;STOP commands are working without any issue.

Now that I don’t have this physical remote anymore, is it possible to send this pairing mode request to my blind with the RFLink ?

When I press the pairing button on the back of another RTS remote, I can see these network frames on the RFLink within approx. 1 second :

20;01;Debug;RTS P1;65851822b0e4ac;
20;02;RTS;ID=b0e4ac;SWITCH=01;CMD=STOP;
20;03;Debug;RTS P1;65851822b0e4ac;
20;04;RTS;ID=b0e4ac;SWITCH=01;CMD=STOP;
20;05;Debug;RTS P1;65851822b0e4ac;
20;06;RTS;ID=b0e4ac;SWITCH=01;CMD=STOP;
20;07;Debug;RTS P1;65851822b0e4ac;
20;08;RTS;ID=b0e4ac;SWITCH=01;CMD=STOP;
20;09;Debug;RTS P1;65851822b0e4ac;
20;0A;RTS;ID=b0e4ac;SWITCH=01;CMD=STOP;
20;0B;Debug;RTS P1;65851822b0e4ac;
20;0C;RTS;ID=b0e4ac;SWITCH=01;CMD=STOP;
20;0D;Debug;RTS P1;65851822b0e4ac;
20;0E;RTS;ID=b0e4ac;SWITCH=01;CMD=STOP;
20;0F;Debug;RTS P1;65851822b0e4ac;
20;10;RTS;ID=b0e4ac;SWITCH=01;CMD=STOP;

I don’t know if this can be right, but maybe this back button is just quickly “spamming” STOP commands to the blind…

I’m not sure if that an be done from RFLink, but you can connect the RFLink to a Windows PC and run the RFLinkLoader.exe software to send commands:

The pairing procedure requires to keep pushed the pairing button in the remote until the cover jogs. Not sure if it would be possible in FRLink ‘to keep the button pressed’.

One of the commands you can try is the PAIR command to put the cover in pairing mode. Something like:

10;RTS;b0e4ac;PAIR;

CAREFULL!!!
Be sure to get the current rolling code from the RFLink (with the 10;RTSSHOW; command)
If you lost the rolling code from RFLink you will not be able to control the cover any more.

Another approach would be to reset the cover motor and pair the remote from scratch. But then you would need to pair the RFLink again.
