Set up android TV notifications for TCL TV

Hello, I am trying to set up notfications for my (Android) TCL TV using the Notifications for Android TV integration.
I am prompted on installation for a “Host” and a “Name”. It isn’t clear from the documentation what thes should be. I assume that Host is the IP address of the TV and Name is just a text name for it?
These don’t seem to work. Please can someone confirm what needs to be entered to get this to work?

Host is the ip-address. Name is something you choose.
But you have to first install the app on your tv before proceeding. Otherwise no host is found.

I didn’t do the developer mode thing though.
