I have an Inovelli Black LZW30 z-wave switch that I used to have set to turn on and off the lights in my cellar when double tapped. This was an easy "check a box and select action" setup with Hubitat but it appears to be an issue with HA. (Never Hubitat again! Found a HUGE physical safety issue that they wouldn't address!!)
I went through the process to setup DoubleTap on some GE/Jasco switches and learned a bit about the gathering of information to set this up. (a lot if which wasn't necessary!)
I've run "Developer options" > "Listen to events" on "zwave_js_value_notification" and flipping the Inovellli switch doesn't show any event at all which seems strange. I assumed that any z-wave device being triggered would show some sort of event.
I'm suspecting I'm misunderstanding how these things generically work. (Isn't turning on and off a change in value?)
Is there a way to make non scene controller switches trigger a DoubleTap action? (That can be followed by my beginner brain!!!)
BTW - Found this post: Inovelli black series LZW30 switch blueprint which explains that the Black series specifically doesn't have the scene controller functionality.
