How do you set up presence detection. Looking at the documentation does not help and I need to set up a phone so how do I do both of those?
Look at the Proximity integration.
With that you should be able to set up a dashboard card to see what’s being monitored, so you can make sense of what to do with that data.
There could be more to it, as I’m stumping around in HA as I need to get into things other than Zigbee device control. I have two iPhones and two Watches reporting, after allowing IOS to provide their location to HomeAssistant. (What shows is us sitting in the Living Room at the moment)
The iphonedetect custom component is excellent for detecting if the iPhone is one your home network.
