I have tried everything I have found in the documentation but nothing seems to work.
I did all the steps in this:
Looking at https://home-assistant.io/docs/z-wave/ I can’t get past the first command since there is not apt-get.
Some forum posts suggests editing the /boot/config.txt and enabling uart but I have no /boot dir!
Running ls /dev/tty*
results in /dev/tty
, ie I have no ttyAMA0.
Im a bit frustrated since switching from openHAB thinking hass would be so much easier. It has not lived up to its reputation yet. Though the installation up till now is really smooth I have to say. But without z-wave…
Can anyone help me please?
This is really strange. I installed a fresh Hass.io image on my pi last night and tried to configure z-wave before I went to bed. Today after fiddling a bit not changing any configuration I saw that I had z-wave devices reporting stuff on the States screen and now I have Z-wave under configuration. I am sure I didnt do anything to make it happen and I did not reboot.
I did try to install Z-way but without success. Maybe that script did something to enable the UART!?
