Setting up Zooz 800

Hello,

I’m brand new to HA (but a long time user of SmartThings) and getting my system setup for the first time. I just installed the Zooz 800 zwave stick and got everything up and running, but I’m running on a RPi 4 with 1G of ram. Installilng the Zwave integration brought the system to a halt and made it pretty much unusable. So I switched the SD card over to a RPi4 with 8G of RAM. HA couldn’t find the Zwave dongle any more. I figured I’ll just start with a fresh install so I reflashed the OS and started over.

Now, when I go to add the zwave integration and click “Submit” to the “Enter the Z-Wave JS add-on configuration” leaving all the field blank it just says, “Not all required fields are filled in”.

I’m guessing that when I set it up the first time and it autogenerated the keys, it wrote those keys to the Zooz 800 stick and now I’m stuck? Do I have any options here?

Embarassingly… I discovered the problem. My Zwave stick was plugged into a USB hub. The Hub was plugged into my Pi far enough that it was powering the hub, so the LEDs were on for both the hub and the zwave stick…but it wasn’t plugged in far enough for a data connection. The “not all fields are filled in” was a reference to the USB path not existing.

How did you add your z-wave switches? I cannot find instructions anywhere.
