Seven Segment Image Processing (SSOCR) - how to deal with white letters on red background?

For a week now I’ve been trying to use the Seven Segments integration to read the digits of my water meter. See attached image. The first 4 digits (black on white) I figured out but the other ones (white on red background) just won’t work out.

Hoping there is somebody with a bit more experience in OCR and image processing or someone who figured it out in a similar situation. Would be highly appreciated…

Hello. Sorry I’m unable to give you input for the red back ground, but have you tried using gray scale? Can you share your settings for the black and white digits? I’m only able to get 88888 when reading the meter.
