So Ive got to say, HA has been a lifesaver for my Insteon wired home. And the fact it’s integrating with all my other smart crap is the icing on the cake.
However I’ve noticed that a lot of the time when I flip an Insteon device on/off with HA that sometimes it can take upwards of 45 seconds for the action to actually take place. Sometimes it’s instant.
I’m thinking maybe my Insteon hub is rebooting since it can’t find home base anymore maybe? And just wondering if anyone else has seen this issue yet?
Adding to this – Using Insteon Terminal in Debug Mode and watching for the commands to come to the hub. When I hit the button in HA to turn on a light, or ask Alexa, I don’t see the call coming into Insteon right away. The lag happens and after 30 seconds I see the request come through the debug console and then immediately the light comes on. Very weird.
Also, as rudimentary as it is, I never lose pings to the insteon hub. So it is in fact not rebooting (although maybe it’s restarting services of some sort?)
