I’ve opened the same issue earlier today and I’m unsure why it was closed. I’m not sure if this is a feature request or an issue. A possible fix is to have tic installed on the system, but I’m not sure if there’s anything else that would correct the behavior. I’m unsure if I’ve picked the correct category now. If I’ve made a mistake, please let me know which category this should go in.
I use kitty as my terminal. When trying to ssh into homeassistant, I get the error message
sh: tic: not found
Connection to 192.168.178.xx closed.
It’s a a feature request, as you have been told by me and by Ludeus. And I told you why I closed your other toipc. It was not written as a feature request. You almost wrote one this time when you said this:
Be clear about what you want to be included in home assistant and why, also provide details of which system type you are running.
Something like this:
Can tic please be installed in Home Assistant so that I can use kitty to ssh into my system?
I am running Home Assistant OS and am getting this error when trying to connect via SSH with kitty:
If someone then comes up with a solution for you that does not require this to be installed in Home Assistant, great! Mark it as solved. If not, wait for your feature request to be considered by the developers.
Have you tried another terminal program?
Did that work?
If so then maybe the problem is not with home assistant but with your kitty dependencies.
