I have been using HA for a two weeks now and I am in awe of it. I love the project immensely.

I have several items switching on or off using various rules and I’m not finding the learning curve that hard at all.

My fridge freezer, for instance, was freezing up completely. So whilst I save up for a new one I got a bluetooth hygrometer to put in it and a smart switch to control the power on the fridge. HA was immediately proven in my mind.

Now I’m just trying to find 5ghz smart bulbs as I don’t want 2.4ghz items connected to my router…

Unlikely you’ll find 5GHz smart devices. Smaller range, higher power usage.

Just found I can run both frequencies on my Plusnet Hub 2 router after a bit of clicking.

my old 2.4ghz socket works again!
