Hi all

I’m currently working on a side-project called domee which aims to simplify how to find and buy products for our smart homes.

The project is only in its early stage, so all the data are not accurate and incomplete. The different features as well are not yet in a production stage.
Yet, you can see an overview of the filtering and grouping feature on the bulb page. More to come, like comparing products, sharing products and comparison, adding comments and review, etc.

I’m looking for any feedback on this project, feel free to share!

I know some of you already similar projects that failed. This one aims to be a marketplace to generate enough revenue to maintain the product inventory.

Thanks for the share but if you plan to pay the cost of website by a marketplace it looses all credibility, sorry to say !

Would you mind elaborating a bit more? Why would it “loose all credibility” please?

The revenue generated by the marketplace side would help in maintaining the inventory part.

Well if you get money from selling some products you list/test, what tells me that you have an honest feedback on these products considering you get money of selling them ?

Well the feedback and reviews would be from the community/users. People would have the ability to write a comment about a product.

Good luck with that, you are going to spend rest of your life adding new products/manufacturers in website and moderating posts !
