Fairly new to playing with Home Assistant and even automation in general, but putting things together for a couple of little projects.
I’ve got a Shelly 1 set up as a Garage Door Controller with a reed switch attached to the sensor (switch) side of the Shelly to monitor whether the door is open or closed. Within HA itself that’s fine, I can see and report on the status of the reed switch as a binary_sensor which the Shelly Integration exposes.
The problem comes where I’m also integrated to Google Assistant. I can pass the control of the Shelly to the google app via the standard HA Cloud integration, but the sensor side of the Shelly is not an entity which I can pass through to Google.
Does anyone have any tips on where I should look? Is there some other entity I can proxy to expose to google which I can change via an Automation watching the value of the binary_sensor?
