Hello,
I installed a Shelly 3EM Pro today, and I have some questions regarding the integration with HA.
Details of my setup follow:-
HomeAssistant version - 2023.3.6
Supervisor: 2023.3.2
My house is single-phase power only. I ordered the 3EM pro as I was hoping to monitor 3 different circuits - A) Computer/IT Equipment circuit, B) Garage circuit and C) main power input circuit. VA, VB and VC are connected to the same (only) phase.
I’m getting values in HA no problem, but I’m trying to understand the numbers being reported. I attach a screenshot of the numbers currently being reported.
Would I be right in assuming that currently I’m over-estimating total energy use as the shelly would be adding energy from the sensors on all three phase inputs - as input C being the main feed into the MCU, and input A and B being added again to the overall total? If so, can I create some sort of subtraction to arrive at the correct energy usage?
I see also that the HA integration right now does not show current etc per phase - these sensors are listed as unavailable, and I thought I could get the correct usage if instead of using the “Total active Energy” I could use or access the “Phase a total active energy”. Is there a way to access these “disabled” sensors. I should mention that the Shelly is running its manufactured firmware, 0.14.1. Do I need to look at custom firmware to make this work, or am I off track completely.
Thanks for any input.
