Shelly BLU TRV, External sensor temperature config entity

Shelly BLU TRVs added via Shelly integration have Config entity called “External temperature sensor”. Right now I have two TRVs paired via BLU Gateway Gen3, each paired on gateway with BLU HT sensor.

However, in Home Assistant this field is empty (has unknown state). I can still find the sensors “alone” in BTHome integration, so I wonder if this is a bug, or this field can be used eg to push non-Shelly external sensor reading into the TRV.
Sadly the HA integration page doesn’t mention this field at all.

You can use this entity to send temperature values from another sensor (Shelly/non-Shelly) to the Blu Trv. To do this, you’ll need to create an automation.

However, if you’re using the Shelly BLU HT, a better solution is to pair that sensor directly with the Blu Trv in the BLU Gateway Gen3 web interface.

Yes, it is paired, that’s why I wondered if value read by Blu GW should be visible here.
