But yes you can use a Shelly Dimmer with only one momentary switch. I doubt it is useful with a normal switch.
To connect it behind your switch, you’d need not only the switched phase (L), but also a neutral wire (N).
From your picture it is hard to tell, if a neutral wire goes through your switch box.
