Shelly Electric Fence

I want to connect an electric fence for horse to a Shelly to remotely enable and disable the fence. The fence uses an energizer like this Gallagher M550 mains fence energiser (230 V) for sale | Gallagher.

It is connect to a power socket in the stables, outside the home but in range of WiFi.

Is it safe to use a Shelly device for this? Do I need a special kind?

If it really only consumes 7 W then it shouldn’t be an issue.

Yes.
As long as you put Shelly to supply side(230V) of that energiser.
No smart switch can handle that 9kV output.

Well, it can, but only once
