Shelly integration fails to connect to Shelly 2.5 after Windows Update KB5015827

i’m running HA in Hyper-V VM on Server 2022. After installing Update KB5015827 (2022-07-12), Shelly integration cannot connect to Shelly 2.5.
If this update is uninstalled, everything works fine again.

HA OS 8.2
Core 2022.7.5

Does somebody have an idea how to solve this problem ?

Same issue here

Same here but 2019 srv, hyper-v and Shelly plug s. I had to uninstall KB5015811….

uninstalling security updates should not be a solution - let’s hope, HA or Microsoft will fix it

I am experiencing the same problem. You can follow the issue more closely at Github

Same here. So much for thinking virtualisation removes dependencies like these.
In my case KB5015811 was applied a couple of days ago, but yesterday evening I applied 2022.7.5 on my HA. Only after that restart the Shelly integration was broken; it was working perfectly fine in the few days prior to that.
I suspect that hardware accelleration (VMQ and IPsec offloading) might be culprit here.
As far as I can tell, those are the only two things that are handled by the host OS in the communicationflow between HA and the Shellys.
In my case both VMQ (VM queue) and IPsec offloading are turned on for the HASS vm. Would be interesting to know if this issue also occurs for people without those turned on.

turning off VMQ and IPsec offloading has no effect, same issue. Tried it with a copy of the VM on a Windows 11 machine,

Looks like a microsoft problem.

problem solved in Core 2022.7.6 :slightly_smiling_face:

I’m on 2022.7.7 and still have the problem.

Cannot connect to any Shelly devices.

Is there another update around the corner?
