Any ideas how to get this integrated with a Mini Split AC?

Is it against electrical codes in North America to install one of these inside the house main breaker panel right after the breaker? If it is, where else could it be installed? There’s really nowhere else besides the disconnect switch outside or at the terminals inside the outdoor condenser… both of which sound like horrible places to put it.

Hi quaka,

That a 16 amp resistive load switching device. If the mini split is rated over 7A, it won’t last very long as that is an inductive load. You need a contactor rated for inductive (motor) loads. I would not use that. Find a device rated for motors 15% above (or more) the motor load or make sure the resistive rated switch is rated 3X bare minimum the inductive load rating.

It’s not a switching device. There’s no relay - this is the PM monitor only variant.

I would suggest purchasing a thermostat, if there is one that works with HA and be done with it.

Many mini splits have the main relay in indoor unit. In that case you could locate it next to the cable connectors there.
