Shelly RGBW PWM and positive common

Hi all,

I have an RGBW strip that has a common positive and the rgbw connections as negative polarity.

I had them connected to Control4 with a Rako unit which also confirmed the polarity.

I meant to purchase the Shelly RGBW2 but somehow I’ve mis-ordered and got the RGBW PWM instead. The wiring only appears to support a negative common and rgbw as positive (all 24v dc fyi).

As you can imagine, the lights aren’t functioning like this although the Shelly is powered up and connected to the Shelly app without issue.

Looking at the wiring diagrams it seems that the RGBW2 does in fact use a positive common compared to the RGB PWM to my mind when looking at their installation diagrams, but can anyone confirm if this is the case please before I order the RGBW2?

Also just to confirm, is there anyway to reverse the polarity in the output of the unit I have? I can’t see any settings for a crossover of any sorts.

Picture of led strip for reference…

The Shelly RGBW PM is common positive like the manual pictures show, why do you think it’s common negative? Your led strip image also has a common positive. If the led strip is not turned on then you have made a mistake in the wiring or you didn’t turn on the light in the app. Check again before buying a RGBW2 (because that’s also common positive!)

Shelly RGBW PWM doesn’t exist.
Shelly RGBW Pm is common positive.
