I have several new Shelly TRV with the HA integration running. Its working great out of the box, but I miss the attribute of the “valve position” in HA which is reported by the thermostat. The position can be seen in the Web UI of the thermostat.
It would be really great if you could add this attribute to the HA Shelly Integration. Thanks 
Can you share me configuration, because I have problem with detection of device in HA…
Do you use shelly script or native shelly support?
Do you maybe have mqtt sensor configuration?

I have added my new TRV as well. i do not really like. I hope someone update the integration.
I will go for manual MQTT setup for the time being.
I am using the HA integrated Shelly Integration, not talking about ShellyforHASS here.
How did you make HA discover the Shelly TRV? Or did you configure it manually?

Mine aren’t being discovered, and entering its IP into the Shelly add integration isn’t working either…
Did you enable COIOT from the Shelly web interface?
Yes I did…
I enabled MQTT and CoIot…
Only status which I get is FW update entity…
Can be the problem in use of ShellyForHASS or and MQTT shellies discovery script?

please do not hijack my feature request for discussing problems wich have nothing to do with my request. Just open an own thread!
And again to be clear: my feature request has nothing todo with ShellyForHASS, I want full support of the Shelly TRV in the default Shelly Integration of Home Assistant.

Finally was able to add my Shelly TRV to HA (needed to provided COIOT server (HA) address in TRV Web console manually) and now I also see that Shelly TRV does not report valve position to HA.
I miss this feature quite a bit, as other TRVs that using Zigbee protocol usually report it. Here you can see a graph from the Shelly TRV on the top, and Zigbee TRV on the bottom:
I would like to support this request very well.
Ti observe the behavior of Shelly-TRV, for me it’s very important to have the possibility to observe the valve position by HA. Especially to recognize malfunctions.
Thx in advance to the developer for integration this entity.
Any news on this? I’m on the lookout for a new TRV but I need the valve position to prevent running the circulation pump against closed valves …
This is weird, I installed 5 Shelly TRV, same firmware, same settings (besides the name) and in the bathroom TRV the “Valve Position” is shown in the integration, the other 4 not. I double-checked the settings but can’t find anything diffferent in the bathroom TRV. Why does it show the valve position there (it’s even adjustable and the valva actually responds) but not the others? Weird …
I found a workaround:
- remove the device from the integrations
- in the Shelly TRV website deactivate Settings → AUTO TEMPERATURE CONTROL → “Enable automatic temperature control”
- add the TRVs again in the settings
- the valve position is available as a entity

If you disable the automatic temperature control for adding the device, can you re-enable automatic temperature control and still read out the valve position?
