Shelly uni integration shows OK, but all entities unavailable/disabled

Hi
I’ve used a shelly UNI as I only have a +12v supply and very limited space within a Bosche microwave motion sensor.
The uni is wired as a binary sensor, and using the NC contacts on the Bosche motion sensor. I can see from logging in to the uni that the output of the uni changes when motion is detected. so that is all functional

I’ve added the shelly Uni to the Shelly integration several times, deleting before the next attempt, but the same results every time.
the entities are shown, but when clicked on they are either unavailable or disabled.
the logs show:-

Referenced entities switch.motion_detector_hall_channel_2 are missing or not currently available
Referenced entities switch.central_heating are missing or not currently available

any ideas please

I seem to have a problem with lovelace, I noticed other switches not functional, yet on the mobile companion they were functional.
Logged out and back in again and able to make the sensor inputs enabled.
But I’m also seeing other entities become unavailable for a few minutes then return.
Never had this problem with the earlier edition of HA
