Hi
I try to monitor the levels of a rain water tank. Could anyone give a help as I don’t know to wire that ? I saw some schemes but it seems that the sensor in those cases had 3 wires (one for data). I would really appreciate the help with this… thanks in advance.
You would use the 0-10 VDC input on the UNI plus. To convert the signal from the TL-136 which is 4-20ma you need a conversion circuit. See: Convert 4-20 mA to 0-10 V using a resitor | Support of ACE AUTOMATION Europe basically a resistor to develop a voltage drop.
The TL-136 info from HA here: Arduino ESP8266 with TL-136 liquid level sensor
Thank youmuch… last thing… the sensor is on 24V so I would need maybe also a converter 24 to 12 ?
Voltage divider using two resistors 10k ohms 1/4 watt is the simple way.
This is from Shelly using the uni plus which is the same thing
The below picture of a voltage divider, can be used to get the 24 volts DC down to the 12 volts DC.
However you will want to supply 5 V DC to the UNI using the 5 volt wire and ground and not the high voltage. See the alternate powering note in very fine print on the UNI instruction sheet. Be careful to use only one or the other. Do not use both or you will destroy the UNI.
