Hey everyone, I have a few Shelly UNI’s working great with HA, though after frying one I’ve found myself having to replace it with a UNI Plus. I’m having some difficulty integrating this new generation. With the my server entered into Shelly’s outbound websocket, my HA still doesn’t seem to recognize the device.
currently if I try to access HA through homeassistant.local, it requires a username and password. If I try to access via my IP dirrectly, it doesnt work at all. I feel like one or both of these issues is correlated with the shelly problem
I appreciate it man, i have this uni plus hooked up to an ADC pressure sensor to monitor a tank’s water level. My home assistant runs on an always-on desktop via virtual machine. It’s remotely accessible theough nabu casa. My old uni worked great, easy to integrate as it was easily discoverable. It appears the old uni is out of production, replaced by the uni plus. I was able to hook the uni plus up to my wifi easily, though i cant seem to discover it on HA
As I said before I need some details. HA version, which integration do you use for Shelly devices, how did you try to configure the device, what was the result, did you get any error, etc.
HA info is-
Core 2024.12.5
supervisor 2024.12.0
OS 14.1
I use the shelly smart home integration (1.0.2), and have ShellyForHass installed as well. I’ve tried to configure manually through shelly smart home, but the device doesnt populate. It only lets me configure a new ‘shelly’ device, which auto populates with the entities that are already integrated.
If you think this would be easier to diagnose through a screen share I would be happy to oblige, and post the found resolution back on this thread
Shelly Smart home integration is a ShellyForHass custom component and it doesn’t work with HA 2024.12 and newer. You need to migrate to the core Shelly integration.
