Shopping list - items alphabetical order

Hello,

I would like to request a simple button which will order items alphabetically. As far as I can see in HA shopping list section and help (Shopping List - Home Assistant) only possibility to make it is ordering item by item.

Yes! This would be absolutely helpful.
I saw in the config directory, that the list is stored in a json file.
One should be able to sort that list quite easely.
But I don’t know at the moment, where the code for the shopping list is located.
Can anyone give me a hint?

Hi from the very end of 2024! I’d also love this to be available. Having to hunt down previously entered items to uncheck them is a pain, especially when I forget the search function exists! :slight_smile:
