Shopping List - Recover Deleted Items or Turn Off Delete Button

Hi all. I’m trying to use the Shopping List to replace my weekly list that I previously used Google Keep for. So far, I enjoy the direct integration. However, I’m a dummy and twice now when I meant to tap the button to reorder the list, I’ve accidentally hit the button that deletes all completed items.

Problem is, I use the checked items to help figure out what I need in a given week (at which point I uncheck them so I can buy them again). So I NEVER want to delete them. If anyone knows a way to recover my prior list (including if it’s possible to extract it from a prior HA full backup), I’d love to hear it!!

So, now for my feature request - Can we please have a way to disable the delete button in the Shopping List integration?

This. I just went and created this. But deletion is too close. And I noticed that all my completed items are deleted automatically. I love the idea of this shopping list but I hope it can be more static.

I just spent a lot of time over the last fer days perfecting my shopping list. Turns out, there is a button there that once pressed, destroys the entire list, no warning, no sanity check, and that is something that I would never ever want to do. Yeah, this is not the shopping list for me for now. Hopefully it gets fixed. Until then, it is back to sending a text message.

I just found the delete list button… now i have to restore from backup.
