I would like the Home Assistant Container to be able to notify me of new versions of Docker images in the configuration >> system >> update menu item. I’m currently using the version integration and it works fine, but it would be great if you could find out about the new version without installing the integration
The version integration is a builtin one, so it is already installed, just not added to your configured list of integrations.
Basically, every single integration needs to be manually added to HA one way or another (most through the “default_config:” meta integration).
As this integration isn’t needed by most, who use HAOS, it makes very much sense to keep it optional.
