Shut-down if the power fails

I have HA running in OS mode on an Intel i3 PC. I have added the NUT Network UPS Tool plug-in to my HA but I am unsure wether or not I need to do more to ensure that the HA PC is automatically powered down when the UPS charge gets low?

The UPS is physically connected to a Synology NAS (NUT UPS Server). The HA machine is a NUT client.

Hi, did you figure this out? I’ve just installed NUT via the Add-Ons, configuring via the UI, there is an option to shutdown host, you need to toggle this ON, and when the add-on gets a shutdown it will shutdown your host (in my case my NUC, not sure if it will shut down your synology, I assume so).

It is worth switching to the YAML mode to check that the shutdown_host option is actually on (true) as there is a bug in the add-on where it appers to be on by default, but in YAML it was set to false. Just toggle off then back on and it sets it true.

From the docs, here is what the flag does

Thank, it seems that I have that option enabled. I will test if it works as it should.
